WEDGE DINING TABLE by NENDO, designed in 2019. WEDGE explores the concept of a table with a strong graphic style, offering both a dining room and coffee table version. In the dining table, the bulky look created by the solid sculptural masses of the semi-circular legs of wedge contrasts with the lightweight feet, which culminate in an oblique chisel tip shape. The entire volume of the table, hosting the large top, appears to become weightless and leans lightly on the tips of the legs, challenging the law of gravity. The element of surprise is even stronger in the version with barrel-shaped glass top, the surface of which reveals the semi-circles of the supports, positioned in a purposely irregular formation.

LINHA DINING TABLE by MARCIO KOGAN (STUDIO MK27), designed in 2020. Expression of the minimalism that pervades the Brazilian architect‚Äôs designs, the LINHA DINING TABLE is a manifesto of his constant pursuit of elegance in the proportions of his creations, and of his almost obsessive attention to detail. LINHA, or line in Portuguese, is his response to the challenge of designing a dining table with a large span, a frame only 16 mm thick and a top that can reach up to 4 metres in length. Visually, it appears extremely lightweight and aerial, despite the strong impact of the materials used, in which marble boldly takes center stage.
