ABREY extendable table designed by GABRIELE and OSCAR BURATTI. ABREY is an elegant sturdy extendable table set on a round-section base in solid ash. The elegance of this table lies in a sheer simplicity of design that brings to the fore the rare beauty of the tops which differ in terms of size, shape and materials.
SEASHELL table designed by GINO CAROLLO. The challenge posed by the SEASHELL table was to use a new material for the base: cement. People often associate cement with “heaviness and solidity” both visually and physically, but we have re-imagined it to make it lighter and sturdy at the same time. We went for a soft sleek shape that takes its cues from the organic forms of nature, especially that of a shell with all its curves, ridges and furrows, whose structural solidity is belied by the incredibly fragility of the material it is made from. Thus, cement takes on a new aesthetic and functional meaning; the central base is an ideal solution and changes appearance according to the position you are looking from. Halfway between inspired creativity and functionality, this lightweight and sturdy table speaks to the soul. An ordinary everyday object has been transformed into a simple yet spectacular sculpture.
ELSON table designed by GINO CAROLLO/Calligaris Studio. The design concept that underpins the ELSON table stems from a desire to tap into the sheer elegance of an oval, a fundamental shape in design research, and to balance it with the functional nature of a central base. When viewed from above, its two main parts (the base and the top) form two perfect concentric ovals which come together to create a triumph of geometric harmony. A pristine aesthetic which is both classic and contemporary at the same time, a pared-back design and faultless finishing touches make the ELSON table a timeless addition to any room, elevating any setting or furnishing style. An extendable table set on a central base with a completely automatic opening mechanism. The base comes in sheet metal, while the round-section column is detached from the heavy base plate by 3 cm, revealing a customizable inner strip that comes in 4 different colours. When the table needs to be opened, the extension leaf hidden underneath the two halves of the top rotates until it is perfectly lined up. One half of the top just needs to be pushed slightly for it to click into place. To close the table, you need to do the exact opposite.
